TITLE: Magic Plasticine COUNTRY: Denmark WEBPAGE: http://home5.inet.tele.dk/sebem RENDERER USED: Virtual Reality 2.0 TOOLS USED: Virtual Reality 2.0, GRAFX SUITE 2 CREATION TIME: A very long time! I started the very first day the topic appeared on the internet. Since then I have used many hours and many days in the about 3 mounths. HARDWARE USED: 100 MHZ 80486DX4 With 24 MBytes Ram and 3.5 GBytes disk. VIEWING RECOMMENDATIONS: Remember always use many colers. ANIMATION DESCRIPTION: The animation is only a part of the whole project. After three days of animation rendering I had to constraint myself to only part of the show. The idea was that the camera should start with a dark picture, then run around in the room showing that it is a playroom for a child with baby pictures on the walls in wooden frames, a table with chairs, venetian blinds, colored chalk, lego, alphabet and number toy bricks and what have you. Then the camera sees a plastecine can which erupts with plastecine and the plastecine makes a metamorphosis into a funny animal. The animal walks to one of the colored chalks and makes a metamorphosis into a chalk which walks back into the plasticine can. The lid jumps back on and the camera flies out through the window into a new black spot. Unfortunately, there only were time to make the middle section of the animation and some of the camera movement couldn't be changed because of lack of time... DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS ANIMATION WAS CREATED: Everything is made by me except the floor texture and the wood texture. The textures and matrials were designed and given effects in Micrografx Grafx Suite. Every object appearing in the animation is modeled in Virtual Reality 2.0's Visual Model. The story was composed and visually told by a hand drawed storyboard. The baby pictures on the wall is me at the age of 0 to 2. (The pictures are scanned.) The baby drawings on the table were first drawed using left hand in stead of right and then scanned. This is my longest 3D animation projekt ever.
