People are getting better at this animation business.  More attention is being paid to cinematography, "directing" and background.  More attention is needed to designing scenes to come out well under mpeg.  Certain types of texture just don't work well with that type of compression.  Nonetheless, people are passing rapidly from "demos" to "cartoons", and some are well on the way to "movies".  This comment by clem@dhol.com.
