I had trouble following the concept in terms of the "journey" - it didn't seem
that compelling to me. Parts of the animationa had nice detail (e.g. coffee
bubbles). The table needed more resolution on the geometry to get a pure
circular shape. The camera work was good until the egg holder took off - that
part was hard to follow. It needed some transition to make this more
understandable to the viewer.

JV: I couldn't discern the relationship between the animation and the topic.
If you simulate a circular object--like the table top--using a polygon, more
sides are needed. The way things are rendered, it looks like the egg cup jumps
off of the table for no apparent reason. Also, I've never seen floot tiles
which were *that* reflective.

From tek@evilsuperbrain.com:
The hand at the start seems way too big, and why does the egg leave a trail of
fire? The animation is okay but it would be better with more consistent
elements, maybe just establishing shots showing rupert in the room and some
kind of explanation for the fire.
The materials you've used are good, particularly all the reflective surfaces.

The light on the tiles is amazing, as is the positioning of the camera during
the hand sequence. The trail is a bit abrupt at the end, but the story line
more than makes up for that.

Highly polished scene. Story a bit weak.

I'm not sure how this fits into the topic. The fact that
the person doesn't give the surprised look until the egg
trips gave me the impression (which I'm sure you didn't
intend) that having his egg blast around his kitchen is
a common occurrence. It is only the fact that this egg
stumbles, maybe its clumsier than the rest, that
surprises Rupert. I'm sure this interpretation is
way off, but to me it made the animation a bit funnier.

Bizarre but interesting. Marginal as a "journey". I like the modelling
and the face animation. The rocket exhaust looked to me like a trail of
egg yolk. Was that intentional? The frozen exhaust at the end detracted a
bit.
