Competition Results for August 1995

     After compiling all the votes for this month, here are the results:

             -= WINNER =-:  astplant.jpg by John Beale

     Congratulations to John for a great image.  Hopefully more people will 
check out gforge after seeing his incredible image.  I bet it would get 
more attention with a GUI, though :).  The spherical height_fields were 
excellent, the textures were great, the bold lighting was perfect.  
Definitely an image that deserves to win.  

     He will get a POV-Ray CD, a copy of "Tracer's and Tracings #1", a 
registered copy of the GUM modeller, and a free poster-size printing of 
any trace he wants thanks to Jack Campbell ( check out 
http://www.pacificrim.net/~bydesign/poster.html ).

Competition was close, though.  astrobkr.jpg and highcity.jpg were close 
competitors - only a few points behind.  Check out the numbers below.
