Brilliant plants! I especially like the way the leaves hang down, and
the stem.
The height field work in the background also deserves applause. 
The simple normal-map water (I think?) falls far behind the rest of the
scene. But although it is subjectively the least realistic looking thing
in it the same kind of water gives many other scenes that extra realism
they need!

Beautiful!  The water, the textures of the rocks, the trees, they're all
wonderfully done.  The trees are perhaps the best I've seen done in
POVRay yet.  The birds are a great artistic touch.

The island in the background is nice, too, but the trees look too much
like a green height-field.  Some kind of blur would work great with
them, I think, to give them less form and more "feeling."

A nice combination of natural elements with skillful composition makes
this image very effective.  It's a worthy contender for the overall.

The rocks in the foreground look great, but may need just a touch more work on
the texturing. I would have liked to have seen a bit of extra rippling in the
water at the edge of the rocks. Some of the shading on the hillside on the far
side if the lake looks a bit off. Could be the light fog you set up. The birds
really add a finishing touch to a wonderful image. :{)

Vivid, realistic, and beautiful.  As soon as I saw the image, I thought of
Ontario.
Quite a "natural" image.  Serene and crystal clear.  The tree is excellent.
The morning (evening?) lighting is suberb, especially in the hazy background.
I even like the sky.  Less is more.  Very well done.
Keep up the good work, and get yourself a Pentium II as soon as possible...

Wow. This one is *nice*. The tree is one of the best I've seen. I spend 2 weeks
in Georgian Bay every summer, and I recognize it here. You really have captured
the essence of it. I love it. You could try a less regular normal function, and
the rocks are not quite 100% there, but otherwise... Excellent work.
