===== From d97ta@efd.lth.se: nice flowers, but the surroundings are too plain. the image composition is boring, try to put the camera so as to get a more interesting view, maybe looking down on the plants instead? as it is now, the front rows almost completely hide the rows behind, and the contrast with the sky makes it a lot harder to see any details. also, the plants look like they have been planted in perfect rows, which they seldom are in nature. and the stems are perfectly round as well... ===== From ewgr@abaddon.globalnet.co.uk: I'd have really liked to see this at 800x600..... ===== From karl@pemail.net: Bit too regular ===== From buck@cs.byu.edu: Nice idea. The colors are great--very pleasant to look at. You might have considered looking at the flowers from higher-up--as it is, the bulbs all seem to meld together and get lost in a dark region at about eye-level. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Multiple lighting is a bit disturbung. Has several suns this planet? :) And... you say you did that pic in 1997? If so, see rules... ===== From djconnel@flash.net: More pixels!!! This one looks extremely promising, but by using less than 25% of your allocated pixels, you throw away more than 75% of your potential detail. ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: a close up of just one may have worked better, they are all blended together... ===== From fisher2@pobox.upenn.edu: This rendering really needs to be a higher resolution. I can't really make out any details in this image. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: With all the effort you put into this, why didn't you: a. make a real rather than fictional plant? b. render the image at a larger size? ===== From r@199.45.245.103: I really like the scientific approach, and your attention to detail shows through in the modeling. I would have liked to see a bigger image, and perhaps a higher camera angle so that the plants don't blend into each other, but overall quite good. Notable for modelling
