Good concept. The room looks a bit cold and sterile.
Maybe adding a little shine to the floor, some yellow to
the wall lights and turning radiosity on will help. There
is some very nice modeling here, I really like the draping
of the table cloths.

Not bad. It might look better if something were happening outside the window.

Woodgrain needs lots of work - perhaps translate far out of object itself to avoid circular patterning on door, and apply individually to avoid doorframe and windowframe from appearing as one piece.

A lot more attention to the candle flames and rose would have greatly improved this image.

The general scene construction is fine, but details are lacking. Eyes are invisible, candlesticks are too 'perfect', etc. Also, I think it would benefit from lower global lighting.

I think the candle flames need some work. Everything
else is nicely done.

Your face needs detail badly.

Nice chairs, tablecloths, candlesticks. Good concept, difficult to do well.
Camera should be tilted slightly down: all the interesting things are in the bottom two thirds of the scene.

Nice idea! There is some good modeling here, such as
the chair and
floor, but the rest of the scene is too stark. Also, the
human figure
appears to be a mannequin (classic Poser problem).
The window
should be reflecting, and the lighting could use
improvement (for
a restaurant, it is too bright). Also, the candle flames
could
use some work -- they appear plastic. And clearly you
just
arrived there seconds ago -- no wax dripping! :) Still,
it has a lot of potential, and as I noted the modeling is
generally good.

More work on the woman, which you know. Varying the texture on the chairs
and some of the other objects would help to make the image not look so
staged. Also perhaps some paintings on the wall? I do like you concept
though.

From ethelm@bigfoot.com:
Nice idea, right on topic, arrangement and detail is good
as far as it goes, but the overall impression is stark.
Might have been better with subdued lighting. Spotlights
would give a softer effect for the wall lights. The candle
flames could be ambient and semi-transparent and use
spot lights again for softer effect. Subdued lighting would
be more flattering to the girl.

A place like a restaurant would need much more
"ambience",
dimmer lights,... the wall fixtures could be the only light
sources,
and it'll be good.
I'll hint you to study some good candles .INC files
(Colefax,...)

From r@haka.saunalahti.fi:
The girl is rather well done, and far enough for minor flaws not to show. But the lighting.. there aren't enough light sources in the picture to account for all that brightness, and besides candles seem rather pointless in such a bright setting. Oh, and the door must've been made out of the biggest bloody tree I've ever seen, and cut against the grain too! But other than that, the modelling is great, it just needs that finishing touch.
