From sshaw@fas.harvard.edu:
I think that you over did it with the focal blur in this image, as I am left
unable to make out enough of what you did to tell if it was done well or not.
For what I can see, I would comment that the words in the tablet are pretty
hard to read.

From Martin.Magnusson.7121@student.uu.se:
+ The focal blur gives a nice touch to the scene, and I like the concept.
- The letters look too typed, IMHO. I would have liked them to be more carved
  by hand. Also, the grass maybe is a bit too brightly green

From jerry@hoboes.com:
Cute. Technically, cavemen are prehistory, but I guess this schedule really is
carved in stone, right? What's with the etch-a-sketch line on the bottom of the
tablet?
=====
From gregj56590@aol.com:
Funny theme. Don't understand etch-a-sketch scribble at bottom. Also wonder if
you should have put more objects in the background to get 'blurred.'

From jull43@ij.net:
You know, if it had been yellow stone and stuck to the wall
of a cave ... Invents wheel but overlooks the post-it note.

I like the stone a lot. Something more realistic than the
canned textures we usually see.

=====
From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de:
Hm, I don't think this is very original. While the stone texture as such is
quite good, the engravement is much too deep and about the contents, well...
The blur starts too soon, this gives the impression of a macro photograph, the
the actual focal plane is _very_ thin.

=====
From ethelm@bigfoot.com:
Different. Maybe too much focal blur!

=====
From 101741.541@compuserve.com:
Such an amount of focal blur was'nt necessary, I think.
Amusing concept,
but a little short about the realisation.

=====
From bobfranke@halcyon.com:
Well, this is just about as far back in recorded history as
you can get. I would lighten up a bit with the focal blur
so that the entire front of the tablet is in focus.

Ouch! Too much focal blur. Stone tablet seems flat. Where's the alarm clock?
Grog might be late. Nice idea though

u should have used a not-so-smooth font, the idea is cool
