Your image is very beautiful. You show us that you have not to make a complex texture to be realistic, your sand is remarkable !!

It took me two sights to catch the idea and identify the foil as what it was.
Great idea and great picture...

From scarmig@ohmss.com:
the foil looks great as does the dirt heightfield. I think the dirt needs more color or bumping or clumping, it looks very fine and smooth. Love the ant!

Really cool idea and funny story.

From jabeck@bellsouth.net:
That's some really bumpy ground.

From rbenjam2@tampabay.rr.com:
The heel mark and the terrain toe-ward don't quite work together. I like the idea, though and think the glass came out really well. I think the soil needs a little more graniness and the grass needs some variation in color.

good concept! (no lighthouse in sight;) Something about the lighting
doesn't work right though ... Everything looks too flat.

Very novel interpretation of theme.
Text too verbose. Remember we have lots of pics to judge.

Nice job. The grass and ant look good. The terrain, however, seems rather rough and lunar-like. Maybe a smoother landscape along with some rocks/pebbles would help.

From clem@dhol.com:
Great grass. The ground looks good except that it needs
some color variation and maybe a bit of texture variation.
Great ant. The foil isn't bad. I like the clever double use
of the topic. Some less homogenous, dirtier ground with
some loose bits of dirt and maybe a loose pebble or two,
a tiny touch of (angle dependent) reflectivity on the grass,
and maybe a water droplet or two on the grass and a few
wet spots on the ground and this becomes a classic.

The grass turned out great for all the work you put into it. I might suggest
a colour gradient along the blades though.. grass is usually lighter towards
the bottom. Dirt seems a bit pale and uniform in colour, but the ant is good.
