You forgot, as so many do, the gold caps at the tip of the finished pyramids! heh

I don't buy the texture on the sphinx and on the two bigger amphorae
but otherwise: GREAT

My oh my, This one looks REAL good.. Damn, I think you should be the winner... But you deserved it... Wow, 4 weeks... Everything looks just very realistic, except for the trees, but well, who really cares?

From tglover@nettally.com:
Nice job modelling and lighting -- very effective. Textures look good too.

The palm trees don't look quite right -- fronds come out from trunk at odd,
acute angle while plam fronds I've seen curve more. A minor quibble.

Nice camera angle -- not straight-on like so manty other entries

Good. Stones are particularly well done.

From gmccarter@hotmail.com:
Interesting textures on the stone. Nicely done lighting. Very good work.
Why is the point-of-view above normal eye level?

From clem@dhol.com:
Very good. The expression on the Sphinx doesn't seem
dour enough to me, and limestone or no, the pyramids
need more detail, but this is an excellent image. The trees
are a bit too smooth and cartoomy to really fit with the rest
of the image. I like the unweathered stone of the sphinx
and the rougher stone of the temple. Very good work on
the people and statues.

I think the sphinx was painted at that time - but it's still a good picture.
