A good idea and quite decent composition. I would've emphasized more on 
the textures, though; while none of them are bad, the color combination 
of lilac floor, green plants, the reddish (even purple) landscape and the 
blue sky is a bit extravagant. A bit more earthly colors could have 
sufficed? Just a bit. Especially with that plum-colored temple floor ;-) 
And yeah, some tourist has again Phong waxed the pottery here. The top 
surface of the altar even reflects. Really, after how many years of being 
exposed to nature's forces?

Thanks for writing such a detailed description of the image's creation, I
believe it will be of use to many readers. The plant technique you used is 
neat, I've been trying to get the time to experiment with similar things,
but so far with fairly limited success. Good work, I'm looking forward to
your next entry!

Nice job.  Perhaps a bit too generic.  The star shape of the 
temple is hard to pick out.  I like the plants.  The rock in 
the background is unrealistically purple.  There should be 
more debris on the ground.  The altar should have 
decayed more.  A jungle background rather than the 
unrealistic cliffs would have been better.  The image is a 
little too symmetric.  I like the birds.  Good first entry.

This is excellent for a first entry. The modelling is obviously detailed
and the objects look good. The ruin effect has worked nicely. The plants
do indeed look good. I think where this could be improved is mainly a matter
of composition and lighting. The lighting is very flat and even, and the
composition is extremely busy, with lots of competing colours and textures.
A stronger light source with an obvious direction to throw some shadows
and bright areas would help a lot.
