While all of the objects are technically correct they would have bennifitted
from a little anti-aliasing. This is a good image with an interesting twist on
the theme (read loosly connected). I've found that an AA setting of 0.01 or
0.0 gets rid of those nasty jaggies.

From chris@bluelectrode.com:
It could have been great rendered with antialiasing and at a higher resolution.

From ddombrow@vt.edu:
Nice composition, excellent use of models, and an interesting interpretation of
the theme. Good one.

Great image modeling! I hope we get to see the other scenes in your series.
Not sure what the fog/smoke is for...
Should probably turn up the anti-aliasing in POV-Ray.

Nice concept... I don't get the white smoke.... or is that dust .... the
metalics stuff looks new...

A little too cluttered. but nice job. not quite on topic.

Fantastic.
A pitty you do not explain a bit better why this is supposed to match the
subject, you could have earned another few points.

From jouni@mikrobitti.fi:
Hmm, I've got some trouble finding the ruins in here. Every piece
of junk can't IMO be interpreted as such. Anyway, some nicely
modelled objects you've got there, though I might question the
overall shininess in your textures. If it's really "trash and old junk",
the chrome in the (for example) paint can is mildly exaggerated.

Sorry, the out-of-topic feeling I get absolutely drops the score. Those
objects you created might be well reusable in a more suitable theme
anyway.

From chris_darcy@yahoo.com:
Very jumbled. Needed a little more composition work.
Mist/fog/steam obsured and was out of place in bright sunlight.

=====
From webmaster@freegraphics.com:
I would have liked to see this scene rendered at a much
higher resolution (not pixel size, but more anti-aliasing)...
and possibly without the fog. It looks like there is some
really fine work here, but it is hard to get past the
jaggies and moire patterns caused by the low res render.

=====
From StephenF@whoever.com:
Nice and cluttered, and an interesting mix of colors in
the scattered objects. The wall on the left is great.
Some of the lines in the picture are pretty ragged, which
detracts from the overall effect, and it seems like a
rather loose interpretation of the topic to me.

=====
From jaime@ctav.es:
The idea is nice, and the detail shows a lot of work. But the lighting seems
strange
for a blind alley: too bright and too perfectly aligned with the camera.

From clem@dhol.org:
Great accululation of trash. Nice modelling. I particularly
like the brick textures and the root beer ad. The ladder (or
is it a rail?) looks as though it has a bad case of jaggies.

From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk:
Some nice objects, nice use of media or is it fog. I would have liked to have
knwn a bit more about how you went about creating the image.
