I gave you a ten for the handmade trees.

I feel the clock is too white for this scene...

From whhale@nvl.army.mil:
There is a village in Berryessa, California that suffers from this same malady.
They put up a dam and the whole place is under water. Every now and then you
can see the tops of houses when the water is down.

Nice idea... perhaps you could have added something to give it a stronger sense
of a drowned village... like some chairs floating.. perhaps a corpse or two....
etc.

From jouni@mikrobitti.fi:
A good idea, but much of the details are drowned by the colors.
I would've liked to see more buildings stick out of the water, too.
Sure, the church is usually the highest building in a village, but
some more ridge roofs would've given the image something more.

From StephenF@whoever.com:
I like the concept of a flooded village. I think this could
have been a really good picture if the textures were
more detailed... they seem to drain the life out of the
scene. Also, I wonder if it would have been better to
bring the camera in closer... this would have made the
village the focal point of the scene, and emphasized the
theme better.

Nice idea, original. But I see an excesive contrast between the bright sky and
the dark terrain.

From clem@dhol.org:
I like the trees and the drowned building. Some floating
debris would omprove the image. Some trees or shrubs
on the distant hills would be nice too.

From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au:
This scene shows a lot of potential, and the trees don't look bad at all.
A little surreal, maybe. This has a problem with a bland foreground and
sky. Some more details here, and a few other buildings poking out of the
water would make a good image. Also the water ripples could use some
turbulence to remove the moire patterns.

A great looking image, it reminds me of a picture I saw once of Worcester
after heavy rain. What have you done to the water in the distance, it looks
strange. The landscape in general is good.
