Far too dark for my screen...
The night sky is very nice.

Good choice for a subject and I like the camera position

Great lighting, nice trees

From marlo.steed@uleth.ca:
Nice sky and good textures combined with effective lighting. For some reason the trees look a bit 2D to me.

From sammy@cube.net:
slightly too dark, but very atmospheric

From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com:
That's a very good submission. And it could have been an equally good submission
for the previous round : gardens. It really matches both topics and is a good
realisation.

From jouni@mikrobitti.fi:
Well-selected scenario, very pictoresque surroundings. Pretty demanding
task with the trees, but I think you did well. The two trees (especially
the tops) on the right are slightly rough, but not disturbingly (besides,
tree silhouettes tend to be that way). I had a look at the picture with
gamma factor 1.3 and it was still pretty fine, so I think you could have
spent some more light while still preserving the dramatics of darkness.
The details in stones and plants are now partially wasted, but it's not
critical by any means. Good work!

Spooky effect! You want to enjoy the beauty of the scene, and you also want
to bolt.

Nice Trees

From StephenF@whoever.com:
Great sky and moon, and a nice moodiness pervades the
whole image. My only real complaint is that the ruins
themselves don't seem to be a very prominent part of the
picture... probably a matter of individual taste, I think,
but I thought I should mention it.

From jaime@ctav.es:
Very artistic. Liked the subttle moonlight, altough it seems to not come
from the visible moon at background. Anyhow, great effect!

nice sky and moon

From clem@dhol.org:
Great greenery, decent modelling. Much too dark. I would
prefer less mood and more color for this one.

From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au:
Wow, I don't know why you feel the need to make a dark picture to hide the
details! I did a gamma adjustment and all sorts of amazing details leapt out.
the grass, trees, stonework, the glistening texture of the altar, the
background, all beautiful. This is a fantastic image, the main problem
being (on my monitor at least) that it's far too dark to see all the
beautiful detail.

From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk:
Once I'd gamma corrected the image it looked fine, not bad for less than half
a day's work. You've captured the abandoned broken down look very well, the
background also looks good.
