I like this, but your texturing could use work. Also, what is that supposed to
be on the bottom? Dirt? If so, there's way too much of it.

From jaime@ctav.es:
Very nice. Great lighting. Good theme too. Only the asphalt seems a bit unreal,

like a broken carpet. Anyhow, good work!

From tony@j4tb.com:
I like a scene with a message. Your brick texture works well. No negative points
really except the pavement seems a little strange. I think an open dumpster
with trash would be cool. The room in the window w/ a lamp is a very nice
touch.

I like the buildings and street but the whole thing is a bit clean. A little
selective fading on the trash bin and some shading variation on the brick
textures would have made this image a standout

should have made homeless man/box more prominent.

From marlo.steed@uleth.ca:

Nice ... realistic looking.

From StephenF@whoever.com:
A very nice scene, if a bit simplistic in some respects. I
like the shaping on the alleyway and the lighting.

From tonyv@iafrica.com:
Nice modelling. Good feel. The hieght-fields for the tar (asphalt) seem to be
too high (deep!).

From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au:
Another nice image showing the contrasts of rich and poor in the city. This
is nicely modelled and coloured. It could use some dirt textures on some of
the surfaces, which look very clean. The lit apartment could also do with
some furniture.

Just a little tip : I think you should have use simpler texture for the bricks
instead of heightfields. Your brick texture is perfect but you could achieve
the same
result without spending an entire day to render your picture.
