Quality approaching my expectations for hig-end commercial packages... with the
costliest ingredient being Moray. Lost a little in originality with the large
number of submerged scenes, but not bad.

From pbourke@swin.edu.au:
Good variation in the modelling, nice lighting.
The moss on the front rocks is a bit weak.

From luisvaloyes@malditasea.zzn.com:
Very interesting scene. The fish shape is very good, and it's texture is cool
too. I'm just not sure about the color of the plants. I think not everything
under the sea is green.

From panthus@xtra.co.nz:
Wonderfully bold picture with lots to look at and a very well designed sub -
sort of like the modern, chunky watches; looks very bouyant. A small light
pointing into the lower foreground of the picture from the sub maybe to attract
attention to the sub more? Cool fish, very 'designer'.

Groovy, but kind of plastic like

=====
From marlo.steed@uleth.ca:

I like the sub, nice detail. The entire scene is inconsistent in that parts
look real while other parts look surreal. For instance the fish, rocks, and
plants look highly artificial while the sub looks somewhat real.

From douge@nls.net:
Nice modelling job on the sub. The fish look good too. Perhaps some texturing
on the fishes skin (bump maps or something)?

=====
From tony@j4tb.com:
Thanks for the tip. The composition of your image is great. The modelling is
noteworthy. Your attention to detail is impressive. There seems to be a light
coming from the right side of the screen which is unexplained it makes the fish
look smooth. Perhaps a scaley texture would help I also don't know about those
green veins going through the rocks.

From whitey@telefragged.com:
Everything is just a little to crisp and clean, the fish don't have bump maps
either. I don't know if that was intentional.

Charming beauty; technical excellence. Probably the winner.

One of my favorites. thanks for sharing

From bbowen@cswnet.com:
Great work on the sub. I espcially like the unusual shape of the window. those
fish have real personality too.

=====
From alun.thomas@convergys.com:
Very nice sub. I like the suprised looking fish (although they could do with
better texturing - to make them look scaley). Also, I like the texturing on the
rocks.

=====
From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com:
It would have been nicer if the two fishes had not the same mounth
'pause'.
Also the algae on the rock's surface do not quite look it.
Nice sub.

From husakm@vscht.cz:
I prefer mor realistic looking renderings ...

=====
From StephenF@whoever.com:
Good work on the sub and the fish. The rocks look nice
too, although the moss on them could look more
realistic. I think this could actually benefit from just a
touch more murkiness... there's no real sense that the
foreground is underwater at all.

=====
From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk:
The Sub looks interesting, and the image in general looks good. The water
needs to be much more cloudy considering the amount of animals and vegetation
that there is down there. The textures could do with quite a bit more work,
the fish are too solid plastic looking and the moss on the rocks looks asthough
it's been painted on. The good modelling has been let down by the texturing.
Really for an undew water scene like this you need a grainy media to give it
the right type of atmosphere.

Thanks for the "final tip" of your description ;)

From delfeld@mailcity.com:
The eye seems to end up in the empty area in the center, or to the front fish.
However, I like the sub and the fish - good shape especially. The front rocks
look like a brain.

Convincing underwater feel. The moss on the front rocks isn't convincing.
Notable for modelling, lighting
