Interesting concept. I remember seeing a display case with a similar
arrangement
of elemental substances in assorted test tubes, but organizing them by
abundance
is novel.

From tony@j4tb.com:
If you have the textures of all those elements in your .inc that is worth its
weight in gold (pardon the pun) however I would consider your bang for the buck
factor. It sounds like much time and effort (not to mention CPU time.) went
into the production of this image yet the image is not that impressive for the
amount of work you have done. You probably could have gotten similar visual
results with not so accururate parameters and nobody would have known
different. Don't get me wrong I am impressed with the amount of time you put
into this image.

boring, I think the main problems is no life in the lab

From stephenhasmail@yahoo.com:
I really like the idea that you put across in this picture. I can't even tell
you used focal blur or radiosity. I think you could have saved your rendering
time and only done AA. Then you would have had extra time for some faked
caustics.

From shout@ozten.com:
Great idea. I wish I could see all of those textures that you created. They are
invisible and it sounds like they were most of your entry.

WOW!!!! If I could have gotten this as a child I could have done more than put
my sister to sleep and burn my fingers ;-}. Great Job.

Nice looking image... but needed something else to make it a bit more
compelling.

From StephenF@whoever.com:
Kind of a cool concept, although I didn't really get it
until I read the text file. The containers look nice. The
spilled powder looks more like a scattered light
reflection to me. The tile background looks a bit flat
(see some of the other entries this round which feature
ceramic tiles to get a better idea of what I mean by this.)

From whitey@telefragged.com:
that brick texture is pretty weak

My fourth-favourite image this round.
