Artistic - Nicely done! A very balanced image. Excellent desert and sky!
Southern Cross is a nice touch. Impressed! High marks!
Technical - Impressive hard work as your notes show! High marks again.
Concept - Top Marks (20) for multiple contrasts! The desert vs the refinery,
the refinery vs the plant, the plant vs the desert. The cold sky vs the hot
desert. The lonely Southern Cross (star formation top centre) vs the cold
black sky.
COMMENDATION for "right attitude and generosity" for detailing your technical
notes so that others can learn and enjoy. PS: Hope you had a great evening at
the beach.

Very good picture. The only thing that I find a problem is
the night sky and bright sun. you mention afternoon in
the text file, but I think I see stars. This may be a desert
thing, but it seems wrong to me.

Technically I think it is almost perfect. Great textures.
One has to really hunt to notice the barrels are
repetitive. The smoke is not too bad. The lost point is
because the plant nor any of the refinery have any sand
built up on the edges. There should be, at the very
least, a small mound around the base of the plant where
it broke through...

Excellent Concept

I like the use of color here. Nice use of basic shapes to
create the complex structure of the factory. I think the
plant could use some work, though... while the curves
have a very natural look, it looks a little too simplistic to
me.

Good work. I like many things about this image. Especially the balance
between right/left. Not certain about the color scheme, though: would muted
greys work better here, allowing the composition alone to provide the
contrast? Or do the intense gradients add to the surrealism and irony? I
think I like it the way it is.

Sense of scale is completely off -- how big are the drums? the plant bulb?
the valves? When looked at carefully, the "oil processing and drilling
station" seems to be only 16-feet tall, and loses much of its impact.

Well done sand and dunes. The contrast with the
machines and the plant is also well done due to the
composition.
