From j.a.bremer@student.tudelft.nl:
A nice idea, but a shame that the vague area of the image looks so gritty. Maybe
an idea to render at higher resolution and then downscale the image using a
paint program to get a vaguer look?

From wozzeck@club-internet.fr:
A great idea which would have made a winner with correct dof sampling
parameters.

From munsonj@onid.orst.edu:
Interesting concept, background is a bit grainy but a good focal blur can take
too much time.

=====
From Andreas.Grates@public.uni-hamburg.de:
The focal blur is a very grainy affair. And the plane in focus is not thick
enough - at least the glasses should in focus in full.
How well the modelling in the background is? Dunno.Can"t really see. :-(

From greentho@bellsouth.net:
Art: Thought provoking, but more in concept than in art
Tech: I get the idea, but I've never seen glass break
like this. And glasses glass is thicker than this.
Concept: Sad, evocative

=====
From pbrasolin@yahoo.it:
The idea is great.

From file:
This is good--but it needs strong antialiasing, and perhaps better focal blur.
Glasses have nose-peices, generally, and hinges and little fiddly bits with
screws...

From file:
It's art when the picture speaks to you. Well done. (Blurriness looks grainy
instead of blurry.)
Notable for composition, originality
